Occasionally when listening to a podcast playback will suddenly stop. When this happens I take the following steps:
- Wake the phone, go into the app, press play
- Result: nothing happens
- Close and reopen the app, play the same episode
- Result: Playback starts from the beginning of the episode rather than where it left off
- Trying to scroll to the right spot using the slider results in garbled audio but moving at normal speed (it's not fast-forwarding, more like stopping and starting rapidly)
- When I do manage to get back to the right spot and let playback resume it stops again when the phone goes to sleep (presumably when the app is suspended)
The only way to resume normal behavior is to reboot the phone.
I've attached podbird and media-hub logs from one of these incidents.
Can you indicate which podbird version you're running? We have Podbird and Podbird Devel in the store, and at the moment they vary considerably w.r.t to the playback behavior. In Podbird Devel 0.7.6, we removed the playback of an episode starting from where it left off. It is being re-added in the next devel release.
