Bug Description

This appears to be a recent regression (~3 days old more or less) in calendar-app in rc-proposed (running on my krillin with image #318). Things worked well before that.

When I create a new event from the calendar-app and validate it, it never shows up in the week/day view. At first I thought the event hadn’t been created at all, so I tried again a few times, but after a while I realized that the reminder that I had set for the event is showing up in the datetime indicator. So it looks like the event has been correctly created, but is not showing up in the view.

When I inspect the app’s log, I see that it is being constantly flooded with the following entries when idle:

qml: Event does not match start time
qml: Event does not match end time
  qml: Mark as dirty

I’ve noticed that there is also a crash file for the app in /var/crash/, I’m attaching it here. IIRC that crash happened the first time I tried to create that event that never showed up.

This is caused due a missing policy rule on the current app in the store.

We released qtpim and qtorganizer-eds which stores the events with the correct tz, but the app still need to be relased with new policy otherwise it will fail to read the tz information and will save events without tz.

A new release of calendar-app is planned to next week. I will keep this bug open until there. For now you can use the calendar-app from trunk.
