Bug Description

open lkml.org

Since this is a heavy traffic mailing list, you'll get new mail every minute or so.
Wait for 5 minutes. Then click refresh. But you still get the same latest messages.

Now click the latest 100 messages at the top. You can see the messages updated here.
But checking lkml.org once again shows the same old messages.

So clearly something is wrong with the refresh method.

This is a website issue. High volume websites cache most frequently visited ones in order to reduce load. This is probably what you are seeing here.

The problem is the cache is being done by the local firefox and not by the servers. If i close the window, restart it and again visit lkml.org,I get the updated latest messages.

IMHO this is a firefox issue.

this is a website issue ... most likely they send bogus timestamps in http header. you can forcefully reload by using ctrl+shift+R from what i know.
