Bug Description

I've a laptop running Ubuntu GNOME that also acts as my home server. It's always on, runs things like a local squid-deb-proxy, and it's connected to my TV for entertainment (hence GNOME).

I was trying to upgrade it from 15.10 to 16.04 with do-release-upgrade over ssh, and it failed in the middle:

    Errors were encountered while processing:
     squid3
     unity

    Upgrade complete

The upgrade has completed but there were errors during the upgrade
    process.

I'm now recovering with 'apt dist-upgrade -f --auto-remove', and I hope that ubuntu-bug attached the relevant log files from /var/log/dist-upgrade/ to make this bug report useful.
