Freshly install Xubuntu 16.04. Install gufw. When attempting to run it, I got the following error:
root@discofish:~# gufw
Traceback (most recent call last):
File "/usr/share/

Package gufw was install from command prompt as such: 'apt-get install gufw'
After manually installing package python-gobject, gufw ran normally.
This was not the case with Xubuntu 15.10.

Clarification for the line "This was not the case with Xubuntu 15.10." - What I meant to say is that the behavior of the unresolved dependence upon installing gufw did not occur with Xubuntu 15.10. When I installed (last week) 15.10, gufw behaved properly from the beginning.
