Bug Description
Fresh install of OTA10.1. No external or Bluetooth keyboards connected.
Opened up LibreOffice from the panel. Selected writer.
Tapped everywhere I could on screen - couldn't get a keyboard to pop up. Browser and other apps showed the onscreen keyboard when a text entry area was tapped.
Is is possible to use writer without an external keyboard?

I've just discovered on page 47 of the PDF manual on the manufacturer's website that "Some apps like GIMP, LibreOffice and Xchat-Gnome are designed to be used in convergent mode only - the keyboard will not open in tablet mode."
Given that both LibreOffice and Xchat are on the default launcher bar, this is bound to confuse users.
May I suggest,
1) Make it obvious that an app needs an external keyboard before it will work. Perhaps a dialogue box if the app is launched without a keyboard present.
2) Remove Xchat from the defaults (are regular users really using IRC?)
3) Find some way to make a virtual keyboard work with default apps like LibreOffice and Firefox.
