Bug Description
The default action when tapping the location bar is to select the entire url.
In order to append something to the url, one must tap a second time and drag the cursor to the end.
Then when long pressing on the url, there is no "select all" option (attached screenshot)
Something doesn't quite flow with these actions. As described above there is really only one path to each outcome, and is quite cryptic and cumbersome.
-I would propose the default tap action would be to put the cursor at the end of the url.
-Double tapping would select all
-Add select all to the long press

Thanks for the report Joe. This is implemented according to the design spec, so I have added an ubuntu-ux task to the bug for design to comment on your suggestions. I’m not sure why there is no "Select All" option in the context menu that appears when long pressing in the address bar. This is a standard TextField context menu.
