Bug Description

Hi,
I've just installed Tomdroid on my One+ One. I'm trying to set the location for Syncing on SD Card. Part of the location defaults to /storage/emulated/0 and cannot seem to be changed. This is a problem as my device does not have a folde 0 in /storage/emulated/ and I can't create one easily (i.e. using an Android file manager). I suspect it could maybe be modified over ADB or something but that seems extreme for a normal user.

Is this path hard coded for a reason? I would have expected to be able to browse to an existing location, or create a new one, from within Tomdroid settings.

Kind regards,

Hello Daniel,

The path is defaulted to the system sd card, but can be changed in the settings under the point "Location on SD Card".
There you can write any path you like. This folder is then used for the SD Card synchronization and also for the backup function.

Please report back, if this worked for you :-)
Greetings,
Stefan

Hi Stefan,
Thanks for getting back to me. This, "but can be changed in the settings under the point "Location on SD Card".
There you can write any path you like.", is exactly what I was trying to do last night. It wasn't working and the location which was set during install (/storage/emulated/0) doesn't exist according to my file manager (Astro Pro). I guess this must be an oddity of the One+ One giving Tomdroid this path which doesn't exist.
If I completely ignore this and set path "/sdcard/tomdroid" all is well; ie. tomdroid can use that path and I can also see this path in the file manager.
So, I don't know if you'd consider this a bug in tomdroid or just a weird interaction with One+ One ...
I don't mind if you want to just close it.

Thanks and kind regards,
Daniel.

Alright, so the problem is the initial path set on install... this is something Android itself takes care of. So if the path is wrong and does not exist at all, this is a bug in Android and not in Tomdroid.
Sorry for that :-(
Hope you like tomdroid nevertheless ;-)
Stefan
