64-bit hangs on startup (Scroll Lock/Caps Lock flashes)

Bug Description

Problem:
Ubuntu 7_10 LiveCD, 64-bit version, any of the 1st two options on the main menu
Screen goes black, ScrollLock and Caps Lock flash

HW Config:
Athlon 64X2 4200Mhz
2GB RAM
3 SATA II Hard-Drives
2 DVD/CD Drives
Dual Monitor / Radeon X800

Previous Ubuntu 7 does not exhibit this problem.
32 bit version of 7_10 does not exhibit this problem.

Thank you for taking the time to report this bug and helping to make Ubuntu better. You reported this bug a while ago and there hasn't been any activity in it recently. We were wondering is this still an issue for you? Can you try with latest Ubuntu release? Thanks in advance.
