Bug Description

Binary package hint: firefox

Since upgrade to 7.10, all functions are extremely slow. I did a speed test and results showed very high ratings. However, I wait for several seconds to find sites (even when going back arrows). Opening my offline programs has slowed also.

If offline programs have also slowed down, then it's no firefox bug.
Any chance you are using xserver-xgl? There have been reports that this slows down everything.

Changed in firefox:
status: New → Incomplete

Do you think it's related to firefox? Or do you have just used the "Report a Problem" from Firefox' "Help" menu?

It may not be a Firefox problem. I did report the problem from the help
menu. There is a 10 second delay when checking email in Evolution, so it
is most likely more than a Firefox problem. There is a huge delay when
going from page to page in Firefox. I can not run the G Force video
driver since upgrading to Ubuntu 10, so I imagine there is a bug in the
upgrade.
