unable to edit imap or smtp settings after account creation

Bug Description
Currently it appears that editing the IMAP and SMTP settings for an email account is impossible to do via the 'Settings' menu => 'Accounts' dialogue.
Curious to know why this is and if it would be difficult to change.

This is quite an annoying issue. I've previously deleted and then re-added my account just to edit the smtp server. Currently it's particularly frustrating because there seems to be another bug that changes my smtp server to a wrong value every couple of days (perhaps after updating)?
I've tried editing geary.ini in $HOME/. local/share/ pantheon- mail/<account> but those changes seem to have no effect and are overwritten once I start mail again.
