Hi,

What version of kicker do you have installed?

Is the issue still present if you create a new user and login?

hi,

as aptitude says i use the version 4:3.5.8-0.

i didn't try to create a new user because i really like my old one. are there any files to be deleted for resetting this part of the kde configuration?

You can make a new user just for running these tests without losing your current user

This isn't an issue in Kubuntu Intrepid (8.10) since Kicker is no more. (replaced by Plasma)
