Bug Description
When installing Ubuntu 14.04 LTS Desktop from an install DVD isoimage on my machine

I encountered during installation problems with screen display of characters. Many characters appeared in the wrong color (white on grey instead of black on grey or other similar color changes) and so became nearly unreadable. Nevertheless I completed the installation mostly by guessing the unreadable parts (but could not use custom partitioning because it was too risky to enter the necessary data without being able to read the displayed texts).
The installed version showed similar color corruptions in all places where text was displayed. After installing the HP driver CD (hp_drivercd_
