Bug Description

Binary package hint: apport

Tried to upgrade from 7.04 to 7.10 = TOTAL MELTDOWN on HP dv6258se (6000 series) laptop AMD64. Completely killed my 7.04 working install. Tried a fresh install using the Live CD, which didn't work without the NOAPIC in boot up. The live CD installation process seems to crash during the formatting drive partition sequence. 7.10 seems a backwards step. Many other HP 6000 & 9000 series Laptop users are facing similar grief. 7.10 just doesn't work.
