Bug Description

If you'll notice bug #1499842 ends in make-report-path.
this bug ends in make-report-file seems dkms is confused between report and file.
Is either reporting or filing attempt two silmilar things at once crashing?

Thanks for taking the time to report this bug and helping to make Ubuntu better. We appreciate the difficulties you are facing, but this appears to be a "regular" (non-security) bug. I have unmarked it as a security issue since this bug does not show evidence of allowing attackers to cross privilege boundaries nor directly cause loss of data/privacy. Please feel free to report any other bugs you may find.

I don't know where you got this version of apport, 2.14.4-0ubuntu1~ubuntu14.04.1~c42.ppa1, but it is not the one from the Ubuntu archive. Please install the version of apport from the archive and see if you still encounter the issue.
