Bug Description

I feel it is kind of hard to explain this one, but it has happened for a long time here, and I'm not sure why. it also happens when I have multiple monitors and I drag it below the bottom of the primary monitor's Y coordinates, but this is not the case here because I only have one monitor attached to my computer now.
Here's a picture.

I am (as shown) using the flash plugin.

$ pipelight-plugin --list-enabled-all
silverlight5.1
flash

I am in the MATE desktop environment, and using the compton compositor (though the problem persists with or without compton).

Here's the output of xrandr so you can see some basics of my X display:
$ xrandr
Screen 0: minimum 8 x 8, current 1920 x 1200, maximum 16384 x 16384
DVI-I-0 disconnected (normal left inverted right x axis y axis)
DVI-I-1 disconnected (normal left inverted right x axis y axis)
HDMI-0 disconnected (normal left inverted right x axis y axis)
DVI-D-0 connected primary 1920x1200+0+0 (normal left inverted right x axis y axis) 518mm x 324mm
   1920x1200 59.95*+
   1920x1080 60.00
   1680x1050 59.95
   1600x1200 60.00
   1280x1024 60.02
   1280x960 60.00
   1024x768 60.00
   800x600 60.32
   640x480 59.94

Youtube videos play fine in the 'small player' but fail when you set it to the 'full size'. Full screen on the other hand works absolutely fine. It has occured in the past with other flash programs.
