Bug Description
When a new file or folder is created in pantheon files, the new item usually gets highlighted and enters the edit mode for renaming the freshly created file or folder.
While working on a remote Directory like ssh in Pantheon Files I can recognize the following misbehavior:
If I create a new file or folder, the "first item" of the current folder gets highlighted and goes to rename mode. This leads to renaming existing folders when creating new files on remote systems.
The problem is independent of the Order of files, whether the files are sorted by alphabetically, by date, size etc. It's always the first item of the list that gets renamed (usually folders are on top).
I was able reproduce this behavior on SSH/SCP, SMB and MTP Shares, probably every "remote"-Mount is affected.
Im using 0.3.2 Freya 64 Bit
Cheers,
Kai

I cannot reproduce this on an SMB share using revision 2109. Which revision were you using? There have been some networking fixes merged fairly recently.
