Bug Description

After a fresh installation Ubuntu 7.10 , I have these strage debug-messages, when watching/streaming tv using vlc :

qserver kernel: [11797.930211] msp3400 1-0040: I/O error #0 (read 0x12/0x18)
qserver kernel: [11837.939525] i2c-adapter i2c-1: sendbytes: error - bailout

or:

FIFO overrun, status 0x48005008

-> When I try to rmmod msp3400 , the messages disappear (tv-card is unusable then)

But If I modprobe msp3400 again, I got this:

[This is an automated message. Apologies if it has reached you inappropriately.]

This bug was reported against the linux-meta package when it likely should have been reported against the linux package instead. We are automatically transitioning this to the linux kernel package so that the appropriate teams are notified and made aware of this issue. Thanks.

affects: linux-meta (Ubuntu) → linux (Ubuntu)

Thank you for taking the time to report this bug and helping to make Ubuntu better. You reported this bug a while ago and there hasn't been any activity in it recently. We were wondering if this is still an issue for you. Can you try with the latest Ubuntu release (Jaunty)? Thanks in advance.
