Xfce-power-manager doesn't blank screen in Lubuntu Xenial i386

Bug Description

The power manager doesn't respond to settings of display blank of installed Lubunutu i386 Xenial (2016-03-27 daily and earlier).
There is no other way to set display time-out as Light Locker no longer works. .

In a recent L.16.04 AMD64 installation this bug doesn't occur.

Installing nvidia-304 driver to replace the nouveau driver squashed this bug.

Going by the last comment this was not a bug in xfce4-power-manager.
