Bug Description

Binary package hint: kcontrol

I installed kcontrol in Ubuntu to control the settings of KDE applications. After installing it, the Other submenu populated with more than 60 items. They appear to be the individual pieces of the kcontrol app. The only entry that should appear is kcontrol and I think it should appear in the preferences menu.

This bug is still a problem in Hardy. I don't know about Intrepid since it
hasn't been released yet. If you need more information to reproduce this
bug in Hardy, then I will be happy to provide it.

Not a problem anymore.
The associated desktop files live in a different directory untouched by anything but KDE.
