Bug Description

(BQ 4.5 OTA-9.1)

When I click the phone icon in the contacts app I am presented the dialer app and have to click the call button. This scenario would be useful if I wanted the option to edit a phone number before calling, which is silly (that's what editing a contact is for).

I understand the need for a dialer app (one-off calls), but when calling from the contacts app it should be skipped.

I would interpret what you want is for the dialer UI to still be shown as its needed to interact with the call, but for the call to be placed without a "confirmation step" once it is shown. The same is true when coming from the messaging app which allows one to call someone from an existing thread.

That is correct. When I started using the phone, I would search a contact, click the phone icon and put the cellphone to my ear. When nothing happened I noticed this behaviour.

The confirmation step is actually more than that, it is a screen in which I can edit the number of a contact I stored before. I cannot think of a user story to support that.
