Psi breaks when enabling compositing [xubuntu]

Bug Description

Binary package hint: xubuntu-desktop

I'm running xubuntu 7.10, composite is enabled in my xorg.conf. When I enable compositing in 'Window Manager Tweaks' psi becomes black.

psi version: 0.10
xubuntu-desktop version: 2.50

$ lspci | grep VGA
01:00.0 VGA compatible controller: ATI Technologies Inc Radeon R350 [Radeon 9800 Pro]

In the upper corner right there is the background of the symbols black, too. Is it that error, too? Did you already test with other (QT) applications? What do you use as your graphical driver (fglrx /radeon or so? look xorg.conf if you are not sure)

Xubuntu 7.10 reached EOL in April 2009.

I've tried recreating this bug with Lucid Lynx and was unable. If you can reproduce this issue with the latest development version of Xubuntu, please comment and change the status to 'new' in the yellow line.
