adding entry by copying in gnome-terminal causes exception "IndexError: list assignment index out of range"

Bug Description

Output of `glipper` started in terminal is

    $ glipper
    SHARED_DATA_DIR: /usr/share/glipper
    Binding shortcut <Ctrl><Alt>C to popup glipper
    Changed process name to: glipper
    Traceback (most recent call last):
      File "/usr/lib/python2.7/dist-packages/glipper/History.py", line 26, in on_new_item
        self.add(item, is_from_selection)
      File "/usr/lib/python2.7/dist-packages/glipper/History.py", line 69, in add
        self.history[-1] = ctrl_c_item
    IndexError: list assignment index out of range

where the traceback is repeated for every copy action where no item is added to the clipboard list.

Thank you for reporting this bug for Ubuntu, sorry that we weren't able to provide a proper fix.

This package has been removed from the Ubuntu development release and upstream development appears to have stopped.
