i can confirm this. i have noticed that it is very prone to crashing whenever
- i open a site that has LOADS of ads and thus ad-block has a lot to do (--> Ad-Block related) or
- i am on youtube and change videos while they're still running

other than that i have not been able to narrow it down. both cases are extremely annoying of course and even though they're third-party-related i believe they should be fixable -after all, they weren't there in feisty ... well thank you in advance to everybody helping out!

Hi,

thanks for submitting your bugreport. Unfortunately this report doesn't contain all the information needed to efficiently process it.

To fix this, please resubmit the crash report you find in /var/crash by clicking on the .crash file that you should find there. This should open the crash report submission tool shipped by ubuntu and will provide us with valuable information to work on your crash.

Thanks for your contribution,

I cannot find any .crash dump now :(. I tried to install brand new version of firefox from mozilla website. It is still crashing. For example after logging to www.gmail.com. I would like to help more. I was developing a lot in C/C++ in past. How can I debug the firefox? Is there any howto?

Output of application:

The program 'Gecko' received an X Window System error.
This probably reflects a bug in the program.
The error was 'BadMatch (invalid parameter attributes)'.
  (Details: serial 120 error_code 8 request_code 146 minor_code 3)
  (Note to programmers: normally, X errors are reported asynchronously;
that is, you will receive the error a while after causing it.
To debug your program, run it with the --sync command line
option to change this behavior. You can then get a meaningful
backtrace from your debugger if you break on the gdk_x_error() function.)

It works fine after removing .mozilla folder. It was the reason because I used the one from old notebook.

Please don't install from mozilla website.

Anyway, this looks like a dupe of bug 14911
