Bug Description

Ubuntu Gnome 16.04 daily build

When trying to install in another language and region (french canadian), I can't choose the region properly (Toronto, Canada - why Montreal isn't a choice?)

When selecting Toronto on the map, I get strange coordinates... and I'm asked if it's ok. (I dunno...)

When trying to select keyboard, I only get english. Nothin else.

When trying to get the keyboard recognize, there is no success either.

After installation, I could not go pass login, probably because the keyboard setting is all wrong and my password is not recognize (even if I chose 1234...)

Note : I installed Ubuntu Unity daily build withouth any problems.

I just tried with Paris (France) as a location on the map, and again I only have one choice of keyboard : English.

Gunnar,
We use the same installer as Ubuntu, could some env var be stuffing up the ubiquity keyboard layout selection? This so far affects French and German apparently

Can't tell. Sounds pretty far out to me, though. Which variable would affect this adversely in Ubuntu GNOME but not in Ubuntu?

I was able to reproduce the issue with the Ubuntu GNOME ISO by selecting French/Toronto. However, when selecting French as the language, while accepting the suggested time zone location (Stockholm - I'm in Sweden), the window for selecting the keyboard layout worked properly. This indicates that there is some kind of issue with the time zone location Toronto. (Still unclear to me why it only happens with Ubuntu GNOME.)

yeh, I am not sure. The installer is exactly the same, however the only minor difference is we run the installer in a gnome-shell session instead. It's still launched by ubiquity-dm though, so any settings should be the same.
