I have this issue on many pc's with feisty and gutsy and other gnome
systems. It's a gnome problem.
And I think it's not solved in the next time.
Gparted actually works fine, but after all it crashes at the end without
doing some damage to everything.
It's definitely not a big problem but it's annoying and does not make a
good impression when I working on my partitions.
There's every time bad feeling in my belly. I believe other users just
think the same.

If i am seeing the same problem, then it is not just when gparted finishes its tasks that this occurs.

When gparted starts it scans the system. So far, no problems have happened to me at this point.

But any time the system is scanned after that, it crashes - judging by the time it takes, probably just as it's finishing the scan. This happens when it does the scan automatically after finishing a task, or when you manually scan by ctrl+r or by the menu command. It doesn't matter if any task was done or not. The second scan always crashes it.

gparted: 0.3.3-2ubuntu6
ubuntu 7.10 fresh install (and the livecd while installing, too)

But i didn't have this problem on the same computer with feisty just a few hours ago.

I have the same problem, but it's been worse with previous versions, on gutsy it is finally usable, although I have to unmount from the command line because it remounts upon scanning. I'm sorry that I can't be more specific, I just avoided using gparted before beucase it threw all kinds of errors and I was to afraid to even attempt to use it.

It's clear to me that this bug is a duplicate of bug #141516 which should have a fix released for Gutsy soon. Feel free to correct my if I'm wrong.
