Bug Description
Binary package hint: update-manager
An Upgrade of Kubuntu 7.04 failed at "57% installed" (no error message, machine just stopped responding with "13 minutes remaining"). Therefore determined to a make a Fresh Install of Kubuntu 7.10 instead of an Upgrade of 7.04. Fresh install in newly created partition went quite smoothly, but at the end the updater notified that an upgrade was available. This "upgrade" quickly failed with the error dialog which lead to Launchpad, and a message to the effect that there was not in fact an upgrade available. Sorry I cannot be more precise, but at this point I was too weary to take in exactly what had happened.
