svg file letters are lost

Bug Description

tried to open a svg file. In different browsers the file looks perfect (Firefox and IE). I use WIN 7 64bit. When I open the file with Inkscape 0.48.4 r9939 and 0.91 r13725 the file is broken. Letters and numbers are broken. Please see attached screen grabs.

Bug reproduced on Windows XP (32-bit) with Inkscape 0.91.
Seems to be fixed in the current development version (trunk rev. 14714).

If you wish to test, dev. versions for Windows are available here: ftp://download.tuxfamily.org/inkscape/
