Bug Description

I'm trying to encrypt a USB memory with gnome-disks, but it fails when trying to add a partition:

    Error creating partition

    Error wiping newly created partition /dev/sdf1: Command-line `wipefs -a
"/dev/sdf1"' exited with non-zero exit status 1: wipefs: error:
/dev/sdf1: probing initialization failed: No such file or directory
    (udisks-error-quark, 0)

Steps to reproduce:

1) Open gnome-disks with the USB drive attached
2) Format the drive (MRB or GPT, doesn't matter)
3) Click the "+" to open Create Partition dialog
4) Select Ext4 (or LUKS + Ext4) + fill in the details
5) Click "Create"

I encounter the same error when formatting a drive and adding a partition, using the default options. Occasionally the program will simply crash without displaying an error message.

Changed in gnome-disk-utility (Ubuntu):
