Bug Description
I have just installed. At Ubuntu's prompt, I installed the Nvidia driver provided by the "wizard". (I really just sat and watched after clicking OK)
During my installation, I found the prompts near impossible to follow because Ubuntu chose 800x600 which cut off the buttons at the bottom of each window. I only managed to install by shrinking the fonts and moving the top and bottom menu bars to the sides of the screen.
Since installation of the Nvidia driver, the resolution panel offers me 320x240@51hz and 640x480@50hz. My eyes are in pain as I type.
I am using a Samsung 900nf CRT monitor (recognized by Ubuntu) capable of resolutions above 1600x1200.
GPU is an integrated 6150 on an ASUS AMD board A8N-VM-CSM (I think) also capable of res above 640.
I am new to linux and ubuntu so I am sorry if I have somehow missed something but I have tried quite hard to solve this and Ubuntu asked me if I wanted to report a "problem" so here we are.
This is the full release of Ubuntu 7.10 for AMD 64 if that wasn't already clear.
Is there more info I could provide?
Thank you,
Nick Syperek
