Bug Description

I am using a LENOVO T500 with 4 gb memory and a new 500gb hard drive and have been using Linux mint with no problems but have changed to Linux mate and my sktop keeps crashing I loose everything on the desktop this is now three times in two days any help would be good.

Sorry that is all the information I have as my expereance is small as I have just changed to Linux so I am a new user.
