aljosa, thank you for reporting this and helping make Ubuntu better.

Typically, "Firmware Bug" means you would have a bug in your firmware versus a software bug in Ubuntu.

Have you had a chance to advise your vendor of this?

Thank you for your advice about contacting Lenovo, here's the situation:

https://forums.lenovo.com/t5/Linux-Discussion/Problems-running-Ubuntu-on-Lenovo-Y700-17ISK/td-p/3278421
My unsuccessful attempt to contact support through official Lenovo web pages (even phone number for Croatia is missing) brought me to this forum...

aljosa, while I don't speak Croatian, nor could I determine what you mean by:

I did find the following as a potential point of contact:
http://shop.lenovo.com/hr/hr/services-warranty/?menu-id=informacije_i_kontakti_o_uslugama

Is this what you attempted to engage?

Recommended contact options for your product:
- Support Phone list (Croatia missing)
- Consult Our Forum

So following the official Lenovo instructions I registered myself on their forum and posted my message which you can read here:

aljosa, a forum is not a direct, official support channel. There is no obligation for anyone from Lenovo to ever look at your problem, let alone address it.

You need to either call one of the Lenovo Authorized Service Partners, whose phone numbers are listed in the URL I previously provided, or call into the sales line and ask for what the appropriate technical support phone number is.

Thank you for your effort, but your link is pointing to the Croatian 'service and warranty' web page which says: "Dear customer, for support you must call England. Obviously, the less you speak English (if you speak it at all), the more you will have to pay". Plane and simple, appropriate technical support phone number doesn't exist.
If, as you say, forum is not a direct, official support channel, then this is maybe the case that needs to be reported to the police instead to the developers :) :) :) :)

aljosa, you could call one of the local numbers, and asked to be transferred to England. Hence, you pay nothing except for time.
