I gave it a try again since Xenial is out.
This time install appeared to work. At least it did not show an error message at install time.
On next boot, no graphical login was observed. Screen was just black.
Since I don't know if it is a different bug, I report it on https:/ /bugs.launchpad .net/ubuntu/ +source/ xorg/+bug/ 1575907 .
On another laptop (Asus X77VN) same procedure worked without problem and provided a working nvidia driver with 3D support. Not on this laptop.
