plymouth splash is not being displayed

On my intel gpu laptop the plymouth splash is no longer displayed correctly, it just shows a blank screen.

I will attach a plymouth-debug.log here

There have been quite a few bug reports during beta1 testing, that could be just caused by plymouth not displaying properly.

I see this in the logs:
[./plugin.c:302] start_animation:parsing script file
Parser error : Error opening file /lib/plymouth/themes/ubuntu-gnome-logo/ubuntu-gnome-logo.script

but our script hasnt changed in 6 months and it was working previously.
