Bug Description

Hi, not sure if we're doing something wrong while testing devices in our lab Jenkin--could very easily be "flaky USB cable"--just need more help than the error is providing :) .

I'll attach a full log, but the gist is

adt-run [17:47:12]: testbed dpkg architecture: armhf
adt-run [17:47:15]: testbed running kernel: Linux 3.10.35+ #1 SMP PREEMPT Mon Jan 11 05:26:56 UTC 2016
adt-run [17:47:15]: @@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@ unbuilt-tree /var/lib/jenkins/slaves/arale-06/workspace/test-alesage-sanity-arale-vivid/qa-jenkins-jobs/ubuntu-system-tests
Exit request sent.
adt-run [17:47:17]: ERROR: testbed failure: testbed auxverb failed with exit code 255

Adding sleeps seems to help in some cases, which of course is a sign that more investigation is warranted--what's the source of this error?

The auxverb is "ssh" in this case, and it exiting with 255 means that the ssh connection was interrupted. Could indeed be a flaky cable, or sshd getting killed. It would help if you can add the --debug option to adt-run, then you see the commands that are being sent. But either way, probably not much that we can do on the adt side -- the ssh runner needs ssh, if that goes down we lose :-(
