I have just tried freshly released kernel v4.5-rc5-wily, and with it my wireless connection now works, but there are still plenty problematic lines inside DMESG output.

After upgrading BIOS to the latest "CDCN30WW" version, changing few BIOS settings (secure boot disabled, intel virtual technology disabled, intel platform trust technology disabled), and upgrading kernel to the latest "4.4.0-8-generic" version - some problems are solved: nr.1, nr.3, nr.6, nr.12 :)
I'm particularly happy to see that the "mtrr_gran_size/mtrr_chunk_size" mess is finally eliminated from my computer (see https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/linux/+bug/1513148).

Here's a new situation with the following attached files: "dmesg_output_kernel_4-4-0-8", "alsa-info.sh output" and "hdajackretask_unconnected_pins":

Notebook subwoofer still doesn't work.
Judging from "alsa-info.sh" output, there is no pin declared for the bass output by BIOS.

aljosa, thank you for reporting this and helping make Ubuntu better.

To advise, this report will only focus on the first issue reported about:
>"1) Wireless/WiFi connection doesn't work (Wireless is disabled by hardware switch, so I can't enable my wifi connection)"

In the future, please do not stack multiple, disparate issues into one report. Instead, please file one report per issue.

Despite this, please provide the output of the following terminal command (not perform an apport-collect):
sudo dmidecode -s bios-version && sudo dmidecode -s bios-release-date

Hello Christopher, thanks for your reply.
Yesterday I received a massive update (new kernel, nvidia driver, x.org server,...) that somehow broke my computer totally, so please bear in mind that now I'm running freshly installed 'xenial-desktop-amd64.iso 04-Mar-2016' (kernel 4.4.0-10-generic, nvidia 361.28). Consequently, I'm attaching here a new dmesg output file.

sudo dmidecode -s bios-version && sudo dmidecode -s bios-release-date
CDCN30WW
01/31/2016

Wi-fi is now working ok, but I still see some strange lines within dmesg output:

[ 1.869368] iwlwifi 0000:08:00.0: Direct firmware load for iwlwifi-8000C-19.ucode failed with error -2
[ 1.869382] iwlwifi 0000:08:00.0: Direct firmware load for iwlwifi-8000C-18.ucode failed with error -2
[ 1.869392] iwlwifi 0000:08:00.0: Direct firmware load for iwlwifi-8000C-17.ucode failed with error -2
