Bug Description
Linux Mint 17.3 Cinnamon places icons off-screen, with a dualhead setup, and 2 displays with un-equal resolution.
My setup is as follows:
System: Host: samson Kernel: 4.2.0-22-generic x86_64 (64 bit) Desktop: Cinnamon 2.8.6
Distro: Linux Mint 17.3 Rosa
Graphics: Card-1: Intel 2nd Generation Core Processor Family Integrated Graphics Controller
Card-2: NVIDIA GF114 [GeForce GTX 560 Ti]
Display Server: X.Org 1.17.1 driver: nvidia Resolution: 1920x1200@60.0hz, 1280x1024@60.0hz
GLX Renderer: GeForce GTX 560 Ti/PCIe/SSE2 GLX Version: 4.5.0 NVIDIA 352.63
I do not use the Intel GFX, both monitors are connected directly to the NVIDIA card.
Monitor to the left: ViewSonic VP171s running1280x102
Monitor to the right: Dell U2415 running 1920x1200@60hz
The Dell being the primary monitor. I am runnig the nvidia propriatary driver 352.63.
The monitors are setup with alignment at the bottom. The mouse border behaves as expected, stopping me from moving "over the top" of the screen on the ViewSonic. However, when doing a screenshot i can see that icons are placed out of sight - disabling my access to them.
I have attached the screenshot, that clearly shows the issue. I have been able to replicate this with both the "Screenshot" tool that is default in Linux Mint 17.3 Cinnamon edition, as well as the commandline tool scrot.
