Bug Description
Binary package hint: gnome-network
When I manually configure a network-interface with network-admin on gutsy (for example setting a static IP address), all settings are saved in the file /etc/network/
So my network connection is broken after changing the configuration with network-admin and I'm unable to acces webpages but if I manually reload networking with /etc/init.
In previous releases of Ubuntu there was a tiny dialog showing "configuring network interfaces" or something like this an afterwards the networking daemon was reloaded. This is missing in Gutsy what's really annoying for new users.

Thanks for your report, that works fine in my desktop, I've tried setting a static IP address and a Wireless one with DHCP both worked just fine and i didn't need to reload the networking script, not confirming. thanks!.
