[gutsy] Network-Admin does not reload the networking service when switching from roaming mode to static IP

Bug Description

Binary package hint: gnome-network

When I manually configure a network-interface with network-admin on gutsy (for example setting a static IP address), all settings are saved in the file /etc/network/interfaces but network-admin seems to forget to reload the networking daemon (/etc/init.d/networking)....
So my network connection is broken after changing the configuration with network-admin and I'm unable to acces webpages but if I manually reload networking with /etc/init.d/networking/restart everything is working.
In previous releases of Ubuntu there was a tiny dialog showing "configuring network interfaces" or something like this an afterwards the networking daemon was reloaded. This is missing in Gutsy what's really annoying for new users.

Changed in gnome-network:
importance: Undecided → Low

Thanks for your report, that works fine in my desktop, I've tried setting a static IP address and a Wireless one with DHCP both worked just fine and i didn't need to reload the networking script, not confirming. thanks!.

Okay... but I tryed this on two different computers from live CD and on fresh installed system.
I will try this again. Is there a way to reproduce this bug? Maybe running network-admin in debug mode or something like this - but how?

Okay now I have it more specific: All works fine except setting a static IP when you were in roaming mode before. This is default in a new Ubuntu installation.
