Bug Description

---Problem Description---
Similar to problem described in https://bugs.launchpad.net/maas/+bug/1523779. The original problem states its happening on /dev/sda. On my setup it is happening on /dev/vda because I am running on a vm guest.

---uname output---
Linux bootstrap 4.2.0-25-generic #30~14.04.1-Ubuntu SMP Mon Jan 18 16:25:16 UTC 2016 ppc64le ppc64le ppc64le GNU/Linux

Machine Type = S822L - Tuleta

---Steps to Reproduce---
Need to do this on Ubuntu 14.04.2 or higher. Configured it with KVM. Download git repo :
git clone https://github.com/avmgithub/joid4power.git
Then follow instructions to install maas VM from the README.md Once the environment is configured. You can proceed to recreate the problem.
You can go to the maas gui and do a deploy on the bootstrap
VM node.
The deployment will fail. You can login to the bootstrap VM and look at the cloud-init logs. Part of the logs look like :
Setting up swapspace version 1, size = 2097088 KiB
no label, UUID=a87ff72a-f839-4ad7-a767-33357c7488ef

By the way I already tried the patches from the trunk that suppose to have fixed the original bug described in the link I cut and pasted. It still fails for me. I am thinking the fix is incomplete for the original problem

Hi, I looked at the bug and I now see that they are putting fixes in maas which is very similar to what I've done in my local maas installation. Please mirror so I can keep track of it.

Just to confirm, what version of MAAS youa re using.

Other than that, MAAS fixes on bug [1], are blocked on [2]. We cannot test the fixes on [1] until fixes of [2] are available, hence, even if you apply patches manually, this wont work until this is fixed.

We are working to get this fixed asap though. I'm gonna mark this bug as duplicate of [1].
