Bug Description
I wanted to upgrade my Ubuntu 14.04 system to a new Version on Ubuntu.
On the console I called
apt-get update && apt-get dist-upgrade
which successed.
After that update-manager showed me that new target will be 16.04LTS which I appreciated most!
However I was not informed that this is not yet finished at all.
Without reading more in the internet, I clicked the upgrade and followed instructions.
After a while the Screen got black and upgrade did not continue.
I used a console to save the distupgrad logs.
After rebooting manually, the syste, does nto go into graphics mode and more as some package dependencies are broke (obviously).
No idea how to fix this ;-(

It looks like DistUpgradeVeiwGtk3 was used and that should have used and displayed the following announcement:

Try using apt-get update and apt-get dist-upgrade when you boot into console mode.
