Include the R language and environment for statistical computing and graphics to provide the Open Source preferred route to handle mathematical calculations. The S language is often the vehicle of choice for research in statistical methodology, and R provides an Open Source route to participation in that activity.
The "S" language runs unaltered under the "R" environment

"R" should be linked to the atlas library per default to utilize significant performance advantage compared to blast

The upstream version of the "R" package is available on the project page
