I am just running the update from feisty to gutsy. I don't really have an idea what is going on as I get a lot of error reports, I am reporting them all, can't give you any further information though. Hope that helps rather than just making things more confusing.

As your Feisty to Gutsy upgrade seems to go wrong, I suggest you to ensure that all package are properly installed and if there are broken packages, to reinstall them all.

You can do that by accessing System / Administration / Synaptic

Click on Custom Filters ( at the left of the window ) and click on Broken ( at the left-top of the windows ).

You'll see the list of the broken packages which you may reinstall.

Because this bug now have a duplicate and affect the installation of a core component of ubuntu, I set the status to confirmed and the importance to high.

I can't reproduce this bug by upgrading a fresh Feisty install to Gutsy on a i386 computer. However, this bug now has 2 duplicates.

Vjeko : Can you give more details about it? Do you still have the error outputs from the upgrade? Can you also say what's your CPU architecture ( i386, AMD64 or PPC ) ? And did you upgrade from a up-to-date Gutsy installation? I believe that any details are welcome since there's not enough information to understand this bug.
