[ppa] sddm crash

I couldn't see a way to post a bug for the PPA, so I'm using the contact
form.

After the latest update (5.5.3), SDDM stops working for me and I have to
manually startx everytime.

Needs to add some logs: /var/log/sddm.log, /var/log/xsessionerrors.log (may be older ones too)

Please check also if there is a /ect/sddm.conf, it may also exist in /home/~/.config (which is a complete fail and was corrected in SDDM 0.13, but not backported)

Hence it may help to install sddm-theme-maldives and to change then to that theme via system-seetings.

Setting bug-status to incomplete, as it's hard to make guesses w/o knowing more about the affected system (like having an encryted home-partition or beeing multi Desktop-environment)

Try to install sddm-theme-maldives and change to that theme via Systemsettings-GUI (if picture doesnt suit ur needs u can change it).

SDDM themes other than breeze are not installed by default in Kubuntu & the breeze-theme seems to fail on lack of beeing rebuild against the changes that SDDM 0.13 brought. Certainly the SDDM-devs checked against their themes but not the distro-specific ones. Somestimes it helps to read changelogs (brief)...
