mint 17.3 cinnamon integration with banshee player doesn't work properly

If you want to close Banshee's window by clicking "x" while playing, Banshee is normally still playing in the background and you can switch it off only by clicking "x" in the sound applet's window . But if you uncheck option in sound applet "control player" or if you simply remove sound applet, banshee do the same when you try to close it (plays in the background) and then you can't switch the player off (because you don't have control panel in sound applet or you don't have sound applet installed at all)
