Bug Description
Logging in to Unity8 desktop I find text rendering is irregular and not pixel-aligned. Particularly noticeable in the notification bar pull-down on the top right.
Actually full pixel alignment is not necessarily a requirement, but nice to have. Even without that this bug is significant because small glyphs are aliasing with the pixels; sometimes one pixel wide but sometimes less (so shown dimmer).

I think you will see this bug on displays where the DPI and stars align such that the glyph strokes are about 1px wide (e.g. my 24" 1920x1200). This might be related to bug 1510382 actually...
