For 1) location exists, is locations a list of locations or is locations the only param that needs documenting?

2) seems like it should be a separate bug. It's much easier for reviewers and bug triagers to follow along when there is a separate bug to triage and review. Could you split this into two bugs and please wait for confirmation before working on a doc bug?
