Bug Description

servermanager: service status always shows as not running

1) Install a ubuntu 14.04 pkg on a Server Manager
2) check whether Servermanager is running fine with

oot@nodej8:~/sm_files# service contrail-server-manager status
contrail-server-manager is not running!

This command always displays as Server Manager running irrespective of the actual state

3) Here it was actually running
oot@nodej8:~/sm_files# netstat -nap | grep 9001
tcp 0 0 10.204.217.155:9001 0.0.0.0:* LISTEN 12320/python
root@nodej8:~/sm_files#

Workaround tried :

manually started the SM again,
Netstat displays properly, but not the service

What build are you trying? We do not see this problem with any of the builds we have tried. Pelase replicate and show to Dheeraj.

with R3.1, this issue is not there.
root@Blaster-dgautam-002:~# service contrail-server-manager status
contrail-server-manager is running!
