Downloader for X in Gutsy crashes on program startup

Bug Description

d4x plays the startup sounds and immediately freezes, force quit is required.
Here's the message:

mcop warning: user defined signal handler found for SIG_PIPE, overriding

running d4x 2.5.7.1-4ubuntu1 (Gutsy)

Forgot to add: I have reinstalled, completely removed and reinstalled, even deleted all d4x files left after a complete removal and reinstalled and the problem persists.

Same as bashveank wrote, reinstalling or purge, removing settings and install doesn't help.

For me the same, upgraded to Gutsy and D4X no longer working
mcop warning: user defined signal handler found for SIG_PIPE, overriding
Creating link /home/anco/.kde/socket-anco-laptop.
can't create mcop directory

I'm clueless about this error... Hopefully someone else knows?

Hello!

A have also this experience in Ubuntu 7.10 and Downloader for X. The same problem I have posted here: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/d4x/+bug/163458 . Sorry for duplicate bug.
