Looks like its a no go
Debian dev seems either gone or have abandonned the maintenance, and no one else works on

Does not know if an other package is now used, instead of that one, on Debian/Ubuntu & the likes, to get the same functions.
In such a case, gnu-standards should be removed from the archive.
