Bug Description

Binary package hint: gnome-panel

I'm using compiz-fusion.
Even though the workspace switcher displays 4 workspaces, only the first one is working. Clicking on the others makes all the windows, the desktop icons and the avant-window-navigator bar disappear (only the bar remains), without any cube rotation animation.
Rotating the cube by other means (ctrl+alt+left/right, ctrl+alt+mouse1) works fine, and all four faces work normally. If I open a window on a workspace that isn't the first, the workspace switcher shows the shape of that window in the first workspace, no matter what.
I don't know if this could help, but since I use the awn bar, I tried the new "bling switcher" applet and it also shows only the first viewport, while still leaving a blank space for the other 3.

Thanks for your report, that works fine in my desktop with Gutsy, could be because of the installation of that extra package (awn) could you try without it and with a new user? thanks.

Thanks for the reply.
I tried doing as you said, changing user and logging in without awn, but the same thing happened. I guess it must be something to do with compiz-fusion

The problem persists. Any new ideas? Am I the only one experiencing this?

Thanks for the bug report. This particular bug has already been reported, but feel free to report any other bugs you find. The default compiz configuration doesn't use the cube and the switcher works correctly
